Introductory pack for new companies

We have revised the introductory package of notes and forms we now send to new companies.

The changes make it easier for companies registered under the Companies Act to give us the information we need to set up their tax records from the right facts. They also help us avoid sending them unnecessary or premature correspondence.

The revised Notes for New Companies, form CT41G Notes (PDF 36K), help companies complete the right form at the right time and explain what we do with the information we ask for. They include guidance for companies that have started any activity, as well as for those that are not yet active. They also advise you how to tell us about any agent you have authorised to act for the company.

The package includes a Dormant Company form, CT41G Dormant Company Insert (PDF 32K), which provides an easy way for companies to tell us they are dormant, and a revised New Company Details form, CT41G (PDF 45K), which includes new questions to help companies meet their PAYE obligations, and to help us to better identify and support charities.

The forms are not available on floppy disk but are available on this site.
