Contact your nearest Jobcentre Plus

If you want to contact your nearest office, you can find their details using the local office search.

You can write to your nearest office by using their address from the local office search. Their address will also be on any letters you’ve been sent.

If you’re in Northern Ireland

For Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) and Income Support, contact your Jobs and Benefits office. For Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), contact the ESA Centre.

Apply for a National Insurance number or find your National Insurance number if you’ve lost it.

2. New benefit claims

You can apply for New Style Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) online, unless you’re under 18 or you’re applying as an appointee on someone else’s behalf.

If you cannot apply online or you need help applying, call Jobcentre Plus to claim New Style JSA.

3. Existing benefit claims

Call the appropriate number for your benefit to:

  • discuss a claim you’ve made
  • tell the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) about a change in your circumstances, for example if you start working or your income changes
  • ask to get communications in an alternative format, such as braille, large print or audio CD

You’ll need your National Insurance number when you call any of these numbers.
