In the 2007 Pre-Budget Report the Government closed the review of the residence and domicile personal tax rules by announcing a package of reforms.
On 6 December 2007 the Government published a consultation document which contains further detail on these changes, and invites views on how these changes will be implemented.

Views are being sought from disabled people and people affected by disability, organisations of and for disabled people, equality organisations and the wider voluntary sector throughout the United Kingdom.There are around 10 million disabled people in Great Britain, including people with limiting, longstanding illnesses, so this consultation is relevant to a huge number of your stakeholders, particularly older people.
