Authorised Investment Funds (Authorised Unit Trusts and Open-ended Investment Companies)

Q. I am a UK resident, can I apply to have interest from an authorised unit trust (AUT) or open-ended investment company (OEIC) paid gross?

A. Not at present. UK residents are unable to have interest distributions paid gross from AUTs or OEICs and would have to claim tax back if they are non-taxpayers. The link below explains the current position.

Q. I am a non-resident individual, how do I apply for the gross distribution of interest from an Authorised Unit Trust or an open-ended investment company?

A. Guidance and Forms R105 (AUT1) and R105 (OEIC1) can be downloaded.

They can also be ordered from the St Austell Orderline
if you do not have the facilities to download the forms.
