Scam e-mails

We are aware of a scam that involves an e-mail with a fake HMRC heading. The e-mail asks customers to provide banking details so that a repayment can be issued. HMRC Charities will never contact your charity or Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) by e-mail for this type of information, but you may be confused if you have recently submitted a repayment claim. This type of e-mail scam is know as a ‘phishing’ exercise and it should always be ignored and deleted
