Reasons to file a Self Assessment Tax Return (SA970)

In order to reduce costs to both ourselves and the pensions industry, from 6 April 2007 HMRC has decided not to issue SA970s to all pension schemes.
Please check below to see if you need to file a SA970.

• Has one been issued by HMRC?
• Has the scheme made any repayment claims in the last 2 years?
• Is the scheme due a repayment of tax?
• Has the scheme any other tax liability to declare?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions you can download the Form SA970 (PDF 164K).

If not you do not need to file a SA970 for the last tax year.
