HM Revenue & Customs is publishing draft Finance Bill 2012 clauses and all of the supporting information on 6 December 2011. but the following tax documents have been published today in support of specific announcements.
Legislation has been introduced under Finance Bill 2012 to ensure that the amount of tax relief given to employers using ABC arrangements reflects accurately the total amount of payments the employer makes to the pension scheme directly or through a special purpose vehicle (for example a partnership). This measure will have effect on and after 29 November 2011. The following documents have been published;
Following consultation over the summer, legislation will be introduced in Finance Bill 2012 implementing Article 132(1)(f) of the Principal VAT Directive (The VAT Cost Sharing Exemption) into UK law from the date of Royal Assent. A responses document and draft legislation will be published on 6 December 2011. The following Information Note issued on 29 November 2011provides some of the details.
Tax allowances, National Insurance rates and thresholds, Tax Credit rates - effective from 6 April 2012. The Chancellor has announced the amounts which are required to be increased in line with either the September Retail Price Index (RPI) or Consumer Price Index (CPI). These are detailed in the tables published on the HM Treasury website (Opens new window).
All other rates, allowances, thresholds for the tax year 2012-13 will be announced by the Chancellor in his Budget 2012.
