Altering text size in Windows XP
If you are having difficulties seeing web pages on-screen, making the text larger could improve your experience.
- Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
- Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C' and press 'Enter'.
- Double click on ‘Appearance and Themes’.
- Double click on 'Display’.
- Click the 'Settings' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
- Click and drag the slider underneath 'Screen resolution', or press 'Alt' + 'S', and use the arrow keys to adjust the screen resolutions settings.
- Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
To enlarge text size with your mouse
- Hold down the 'Control' key while turning the mousewheel away from you.
To reduce text size with your mouse
- Hold down the 'Control' key while turning the mousewheel towards you.
