Altering the double click speed of your mouse in Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me
If you have difficulties 'double clicking' the left mouse button (clicking twice in quick succession), you can reduce the double click speed.
- Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
- Hover over 'Settings' or press 'S'.
- Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C'.
- Double click on 'Mouse' or press 'M' until 'Mouse' is highlighted, and press 'Enter'.
- 'Mouse Properties' should be displayed.
- Click the 'Buttons' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
- Click and drag the slider towards slow, or press 'Alt' + 'D', and use the arrow keys to adjust the slider. (You may have to press ‘Options’ to bring up the slider)
- Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
