Altering the speed of your mouse in Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me

If you are having difficulties with the speed of your mouse, you can reduce its speed.

1. Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
2. Hover over 'Settings' or press 'S'.
3. Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C'.
4. Double click on 'Mouse' or press 'M' until 'Mouse' is highlighted, and press 'Enter'.
5. 'Mouse Properties' should be displayed.
6. Click the 'Motion' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
7. Click and drag the slider underneath 'Speed', or press 'Alt' + 'S', and use the arrow keys to adjust the pointer speed.
8. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
