Altering your fonts in Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me

If you are having difficulties seeing or reading on-screen fonts (e.g. Tahoma or Monotype Corsiva), you may wish to alter the fonts displayed.

  1. Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
  2. Hover over 'Settings' or press 'S'.
  3. Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C'.
  4. Double click on 'Display' or press 'D' until 'Display' is highlighted, and press 'Enter'.
  5. Click the 'Appearance' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
  6. Below ‘Item’ is a drop down box that contains various font schemes. Click the arrow, and select a new scheme. Alternatively press 'Alt + 'I' and use the arrow keys to move through the various schemes and press 'Enter'.
