Altering the speed of your mouse in Windows XP

If you are having difficulties with the speed of your mouse, you can reduce it’s speed.

1. Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
2. Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C' and press 'Enter'.
3. Double click on ‘Printers and Other Hardware’.
4. Double click on ‘Mouse’.
5. 'Mouse Properties' should be displayed.
6. Click the 'Pointer Options' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
7. Click and drag the slider underneath 'Select a pointer speed', or press 'Alt' + 'C', and use the arrow keys to adjust the pointer speed.
8. Click ‘Apply’ and then click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
