Altering your fonts in Opera for OS X

If you are having difficulties seeing or reading on-screen fonts (e.g. Tahoma or Monotype Corsiva), you may wish to alter the fonts displayed.

  1. Click 'Opera' and click 'Preferences' or press 'Apple' + ','.
  2. Click 'Web pages' tab or press 'Alt' + 'Tab' until the 'Web pages' tab is selected.
  3. Click on the large button next to 'Normal font' or press 'Tab' until the button is selected and press 'Spacebar'.
  4. This brings up the 'Select font' window.
  5. Click the font you want or press 'Tab' until the 'Font' box is highlighted and use the arrow keys to select your font.
  6. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
  7. Click 'Advanced' tab or press 'Alt' + 'Tab' to highlight it.
  8. Click 'Content' or use the arrow keys to select it.
  9. Click 'Style options' or press 'Tab' until it is highlighted and press 'Spacebar'.
  10. Select the ‘presentation modes’ tab by clicking on it or pressing ‘Alt’ + ‘Tab’.
  11. Repeat step 1-10 for the 'Page fonts and colors' checkboxes to turn them off.
  12. Check 'My fonts and colours' under the 'Author mode' and 'User mode' options.
  13. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
