Small and medium sized enterprises

There are opportunities for businesses to tender for contracts for goods and services with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. However, while some small contracts may be at a local level, a large number of significant value contracts are now on centrally negotiated framework agreements.

These include:

  • printing
  • information technology equipment
  • stationery and office consumables
  • office furniture and equipment
  • consultancy
  • hotel and conference accommodation
  • vehicle hire

The majority of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs’ estate has been transferred to a private sector provider, Mapeley, under a PFI/PPP contract. Mapeley are now responsible for providing the Department’s required services in maintenance, building management, landscaping, security, cleaning and waste management. They also manage catering, childcare and office removals. If you wish to sub-contract for any of these categories, please contact Mapeley direct.

Visit their Website at www.mapeley.com (this link will open in an new window) or contact them at the following address:

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs contracts are awarded after competitive tender procedures. For requirements with a value above the European Union (EU) threshold (for current thresholds please visit www.ogc.gov.uk), contract adverts must be placed in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). Please note: the Department does not use approved supplier lists.

Currently the supplement to the OJEU is published by the European Union. Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) provides an electronic version of the OJEU journal and is available free of charge via the Internet. Alternatively the supplement to the OJEU is available by subscription from UK agents such as:
