1. Matters Arising

The committee agreed the minutes for the meeting of 25 March 2009. The action point log was reviewed and updated.

2. Workforce Change (WFC) Programme

Rob Dellegrotti presented the new operating model for the WFC programme following transfer of accountability to the Lines of Business. The committee discussed staff redeployment and the role of implementation teams.

3. Stewardship

Cathy Wilcher explained the drivers of the stewardship project and the work of the organisation design team, who are helping central functions design out efficiencies.

4. PaceSetter

The committee discussed how PaceSetter principles have been applied, to date, in the department. They acknowledged there is still some way to go but agreed that, in the long term, the PaceSetter brand should become the HM Revenue & Customs way to achieve it’s vision.

5. Forward look/any other business

  • Cathy Wilcher updated the committee on the re-structuring of the people function.
  • Future items for the forward look were discussed and agreed.

The next meeting of the people committee is scheduled for 4 August 2009.
