1 Criminal record checks

Jim Morrison led a discussion on the Department’s approach to criminal record checks. Checks on new recruits, strongly recommended in Cabinet Office guidance, were currently in place using the Police National Computer. The Committee decided to discuss the subject again in January.

The Committee also noted the scope for possible data matching arrangements.

2 Planning and prioritisation

The Committee looked at the way forward for the next three years, reviewed budgets and profiles for business as usual as well as for Departmental Transformation projects and discussed preparation for the forthcoming Board meeting.
