Should I deduct the 5 per cent expense allowance from income for each relevant engagement?
Income from each relevant engagement in the tax year should be added together at Step 1 of the calculation of the IR35 deemed payment. The 5 per cent allowance should be deducted from that total figure at the end of the year. See Section 54 of the legislation
